Rust Red Iris - Flower Base Definitely Finished

I've done a lot of blending of light gold and light green, and broken it up a lot more.

I'm happy now.

I am starting to feel totally awestruck and spoilt with the amount of work you are doing on this.

WOW

Wow. this is looking beautiful. (I see you're also on the H-Needlework list, where I lurk constantly, but others always seem to answer the questions I know before I get to them.) Your historic style sampler sounds lovely, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I love modern, even slightly modern takes on period styles and designs, which made me a bad fit for stitching in the SCA!

Thanks :-)

It's not so much that it will be modern, that I don't want to do a coif or a jacket or anything. Just have a big play, with lots of flowers and leaves. Sort of like Jane Nichol' s Stumpwork Sampler? (only not like it in design).
