A Bunch of Poppies - Some Leaves

Posted by MeganH in

A slightly out of focus picture of the first set of leaves. I think the colouring is lovely.

I also noticed that the flowers have padding - both of felt, and of satin stitching. It should look lovely at the end.

Lovely! You cover a lot of ground quickly.
I have decided to do the single rose first and have traced out the design but my progress will be slow.

Marg, - the pinkish rose with the butterfly? I love that one - want to do it, tho I wouldn't do the butterfly. I personally think it's extraneous.

Sal - yeah. The original has olive leaves, but we've changed them. And the orangey reds to purple reds ... richer colours. :-)

It's funny how it doesn't look special until you add the last layer or two of the four colours and then it just goes 'bling'

No the single (well, almost single) pink one - I wanted to try something that looked simpler than the magnolia first - it is the one immediately after the magnolia in the book.

I liked your padding
