Ongoing.....

Hey Everybody......

For more than the last month I've been in what I now recognize is a 'crash' - an exacerbation of M.E., the irregularity (It's not actually a disease) of the central nervous system that I have.

I've had a million crashes - hopefully this one will only last another month or so. It means bed rest, and more bed rest. The more rest, the more quickly I'll get my normal life back.

I have managed to do two small blossoms (with raised detached tops) on my sampler - I've got to grab my camera to show them. If I have enough energy to hit the lounge room, I'll start on the peapods.

I can spend some time some days sitting up for 2 or 3 hours. I read my blogs and e-mail every day, but if I'm able to sit up beyond that, I work on a computer project related to embroidery - that shall be revealed in a few months time. I have a lot of copyright permission getting to do before it goes public.

Hang in there and hope you feel up to stitching soon. I know your mind will be working overtime in your tired body dreaming up new wonders. I'm thinking of you...xo Susan

Oh Elmsley Rose! You've got ME? You poor thing! I am only just catching up on this news due to finally having got my book off to the printer - sorry to come to it so late.

I can very much sympathise, having had CFS for the amazingly and thankfully very brief period of 9 months from July last year. So I understand how debilitating it is (seeing they're very very similar) and how disappointed you must be to have a relapse.

My advice (and I'm sure you've had lots, so take it with a grain of salt if you prefer!) is to not fight it. I did that and it only made it worse. Give your body time to heal.

Oh, if only I could wave a wand and make you better. I don't want to say anything trite because I know how nightmarish ME/CFS can be. But please know that I am thinking of you, and praying for the speedy return of your health. If you want to email me to compare notes, I'd be happy to do that. I'm not going to say "get better soon" because that can feel like a slap in the face when you've got ME/CFS, no matter how well-intended it is. Sometimes getting better just WON'T happen soon...

I hope that TODAY is a good day for you. :-)
