An Evening on the Couch

This photo show Tommy (front), Jasper (rear) and also happens to show the size of my sampler in proportion to them. Click on the photo for the full version.

They were very good cats for looking up at me when I called them. :-). No, they are not related at all - I just choose cats with similar colouring. Tommy is 5 and Jasper is 2. Tommy sleeps in my arms each night.

You can also see the discolouration I was talking about of the poor linen - especially at the sides where I hold it.

And that I've finished the red silk stitching on the new small red rose. Photos coming.

Having the cats in there certainly gives a good idea of the scale!

And yes, they are gorgeous looking cats!

What beautiful boys!
And I totally heart this sampler, makes me want to finish everything on the list and "do" a big fat swirly historic-style piece!

Oh, there are the boys! The flower looks great, Megan! Good on ya'! Thanks for showing us your newest progress.

Have you thought about covering the piece as you work on it so that only what you are working on is open? Just thinking out loud. I don't know if this would be a benefit or not. Haven't tried it myself, just heard about it.

Re covering the sampler - d'oh. Should have thought of that a year ago!!! At least the really discoloured bits will be cut off. The discoloration on the actual sampler occurs as my hand drags across as I work. I have to rest my hand on the sampler coz of pain. I don't know if other people hold their's up as they go.
