Thankyou for all of the lovely e-cards, cards, and presents for my recent 40th birthday.
I really treasure each one :-)
I spent my actual birthday at a crafty friend's place, with another crafty friend. We opened the embroidery books that had arrived for me, and all looked through them. And I took along some Au Soie, gold metal threads, gilt sylke twist and silk wrapped purl to show them . There were plenty of pics of 16thC embroidery in Jacqui Carey's Swetebag book, which I received (yes, it IS an excellent book if you're into 16thC embroidery!). And they showed me their projects.
And the next weekend, I had a lunch for a group of my friends at an Italian restuarant. My only complaint is that it didn't go for long enough! Only 3.5 hours.
Thankyou again,
Megan/Elmsley Rose
