Hi Megan, I am rubbish as design so I'm not a lot of help to you. I do think that you need something to tie the two parts together but only something light like a curlicue of some of the tiny flowers you have on the right.

It is looking great and I am looking forward to seeing it finished :-)

My own opinion is that the empty space draws more attention to the flowers on either side of it. After you add the last flower you plan for the bottom, then revist the decision is my advice.

A bee flitting about might be nice, but then I am a bit prejudiced in that regard. I love the design as it is, but it needs to be a representation of the design in your heart. Probably not much help, but that is my opinion.

I kind of like the bee suggestion, maybe right in that triangle formed by the big rose, the bud, and the flower beneath?

Hmmm... I think its fine as it is actually. The space doesn't bother me at all. But if you wanted to put something then a bee could work. You just might want to test a bee on a scrap of fabric first and "put" it in place to see whether you like it or not. (Sounds like a lot of extra effort to test like that though.)

Sometimes space is ok. If you feel the need to add something, keep it light and small. A bee or curlique would be fine. Also looks pretty just as it is.

Leave well alone, I think. You don't want to risk it looking cluttered, and remember that because it is textured, an embroidery is always "busier" than a watercolour or a drawing.

Sometimes Less is More and this is the case with your beautiful work, so please leave the space is my advice.
